新卒でエンジニアとして中国出張を経験後、創業期の広告代理店でWebマーケティングを5年間担当。よりグローバルな環境を求め、AIコンサルタントとしてGrune AI Technologiesに参画。福島県福島市出身。
I began my career as an engineer, including assignments in China, and then spent five years in web marketing at an early-stage advertising agency. Looking for a more global environment, I joined Grune AI Technologies as an AI consultant. Originally from Fukushima City, Fukushima Prefecture.

Grune AI Technologiesになぜ入ったのか？きっかけは？

きっかけは、海外転職を考えていた時にGrune AI Technologiesを見つけ、社長の人柄を知りたくて応募したこと。社長に「そんな暇じゃない」と一蹴されかけましたが、話すうちに意気投合し、その日のうちに食事へ。後日スノボにも一緒に行ったのが始まりです。もうひとつは、AIがインフラになる激動の時代に、最先端を真っ先に追う刺激的な人たちと働きたかったからです。言語や国境に縛られず、海外チームと一つになって動くGrune AI Technologiesは、まさにその場所でした。
I came across Grune AI Technologies while I was thinking about moving abroad, and I applied because I wanted to find out what the CEO was like. He nearly turned me down with "I don't have time for this," but as we talked we hit it off, and we went out for dinner the same day. Later we even went snowboarding together, and that was how it started.
The other reason is that I wanted to work with people who go after the frontier first, in an era where AI is becoming infrastructure. Grune AI Technologies, where the teams work as one across languages and borders, was exactly that place.

会社の雰囲気、社風は？

意外だったのは、一人ひとりが技術の本質を深く理解していること。雑談のつもりで話しても、学びになることがたくさんあります。その一方で、昼はメンバーとランチに出かけ、午後はコーヒーを豆から淹れる。そんなゆるさもあります。互いの長所を生かし、短所を補い合うチームだと感じています。
What surprised me is how deeply each person understands the essentials of technology. Even a conversation I start as small talk turns into something I learn from. At the same time there is a relaxed side: we head out for lunch together, and in the afternoon someone grinds coffee beans. I feel we are a team that draws on each other's strengths and covers each other's weaknesses.

社長はどんな人ですか？

社長のブログにある通り、誰よりも自由を謳歌している人。その実、人一倍の努力家で視座が高く、仕事は速くて的確です。合理的な一方で社員の幸せを切に願う人間味があり、「若い時間は貴重、無駄にするな」と背中で教えてくれる兄貴分です。
As his blog suggests, he enjoys his freedom more than anyone. In fact he also works harder than most, sees further ahead, and is fast and precise. He is rational, and at the same time genuinely wishes for his people to be happy. He is like an older brother who teaches by example that your young years are precious and should not be wasted.

あなたが思うGrune AI Technologiesの強みは？

一番の強みは人だと思います。あたたかく、前向きで、技術に対して貪欲。新しい発想を否定から入らずに面白がる人たちです。国も年齢も社歴も関係なく、いいと思ったことはすぐ試させてもらえる。入って1か月の私でも、自分の仕事をAIで組み直すことを任せてもらえました。AIを語るのではなく、自分たちの仕事で真っ先に取り入れている会社です。技術に本気で向き合いたい人には、これ以上ない環境だと感じています。
Our greatest strength is the people. Warm, positive, and hungry when it comes to technology. They find new ideas interesting rather than dismissing them. Nationality, age and years of service do not matter here: if you think something is worth trying, you get to try it. Even one month in, I was trusted to rebuild my own work with AI. This is a company that does not just talk about AI, but is the first to put it to work in its own business. For anyone who wants to engage seriously with technology, I cannot think of a better place.

Grune AI Technologiesをどんな会社にしたいですか？

AIがもたらす感動を、一人でも多くの企業に届けられる会社にしたいです。企業には「AIのことならGrune」と最初に名前が挙がる存在に。そして働く一人ひとりには、AIで仕事が楽になる実感を。その両方を当たり前にできる会社を目指します。
I want Grune AI Technologies to be a company that brings the excitement of AI to as many businesses as possible, and to be the first name that comes up when a company thinks about AI. And for each person working here, I want the feeling that AI makes the work easier to be normal. My goal is a company where both are taken for granted.

現在の仕事内容は？

AIコンサルタントとしての経験を積むため、自社AIサービスの開発に携わっています。顧客の視点に立ち毎日使い込み、リリースに向けてAIを使いながら改善しています。並行して、顧客のプロジェクトにも参画しています。社内のAI活用の仕組みづくりも、日々の業務の中で続けています。
To build my experience as an AI consultant, I work on the development of our own AI service. I use it every day from the customer's point of view and improve it with AI as we work toward release. Alongside that, I take part in client projects. Building ways to use AI inside the company is also part of my daily work.

チャレンジしてみたい仕事は何ですか？

中小企業のAI導入を、入口から基幹システムまで一気通貫で支援する仕事です。ITやAIの恩恵をいちばん受けられるのは、まだ何も入っていない会社だと思います。その恩恵を最大限受けられる企業を、一社でも増やしたいです。
I want to support AI adoption at small and mid-sized companies from end to end, from the first step through to their core systems. The companies that stand to gain the most from IT and AI are the ones that have none of it yet. I want to increase the number of companies that get the full benefit.

5年後のありたい姿を教えてください

スマホを使うのが当たり前になったように、AIを使うのも当たり前になります。そうなればアイデアひとつでできることが一気に広がり、人手や時間や技術の壁で諦められてきたことが、次々と形にできるようになります。5年後は、その「できなかったこと」を可能にしていく側にいたいです。企業の課題を聞いて解決策を描き、開発チームと形にする。そこまでを自分の手で通せる人になっていたいです。
Just as using a smartphone became ordinary, using AI will become ordinary too. When it does, a single idea will open up far more than before, and the things companies gave up on for lack of people, time or skills will start taking shape. In five years I want to be on the side that makes those things possible: hearing a company's problem, designing the answer, and building it with the development team, and carrying all of it through myself.
